East Village Business Improvement District (BID)
The East Village Association is a non-profit organization of residents, merchants and property
owners dedicated to promoting the renaissance of Downtown San Diego’s East Village
neighborhood.
In the past 14 years, EVA has been successful in increasing funding for East Village projects
in the City of San Diego’s redevelopment budget; bringing streetlights to East Village; lobbying
for the new Main Library to be built in the area, and attempting to attract positive development
in the neighborhood including the Padres ballpark, new businesses and housing.
David Hazan is the President of EVA’s 16-member board of directors.
